In the episode, smarmy office-climber Pete Campbell exchanges a lettuce-and-tomato-motif chip and dip set, a present from his wedding with Trudy, for a manly rifle. While I can blame Pete for a lot of bad behavior, I would've traded in that piece of flea market junk too—but not for a firearm, no ma'am! Instead, I would have upgraded to West Elm's sleek universal expert chip and dip set, a deep, streamlined white bowl with three red, ramekin-sized dishes for serving an array of salsas and dips. (How dare the retro sets of the past decide that we are only worthy of one dip!)
