One Good Find: Chocolate Skulls
Oct 28th 2013, 18:40, by Laura Sant

Chocolate skulls Enlarge Credit: Laura Sant I love Halloween for the same reason I love most holidays—the chance to indulge my voracious sweet tooth with seasonal treats. I certainly won't turn down a drugstore peanut butter cup, but these gorgeous, intricate chocolate skulls from New York-based Bond Street Chocolate take Halloween candy to the next level. The Manhattan chocolate shop has long been a favorite of mine, where owner and chocolatier Lynda Stern sells a small selection of unusually-flavored and delicately-molded candies, all made on-premises with an incredible attention to detail that makes each chocolate feel nearly too beautiful to eat. Made of a velvety-smooth 72% chocolate, they come in a set of six small skulls, half of which are dusted with silver, or one larger, more detailed version. They'd make beautiful gifts, if I wasn't planning on hoarding them all for myself.

Chocolate skulls, $14 for six small or one large skull at Bond Street Chocolate; call 212/677-5103 to order
